Sock it to me time

Here is the ongoning sock project for this winter. After seaching local stores for a common 'orlan' type knitted sock and only coming up with nylon stretchy versions which are too thin and uncomfortable I broke into the finger weight yarn stash to make my own sock. I am on my third and hopefully final version after the heel turn phase. So far so good. Really pretty wool yarn. But these maybe too thick. Certainly will be toasty warm though.
Here is a picture of the sock in progress. May the mate to this one go much faster or it will be spring.
